Terms of Service for Keeper Detection
Effective Date: November 18, 2024
1. Scope of Services
Keeper Detection provides narcotics detection services utilizing professionally trained canine teams to assist in detecting illicit substances in various settings, including but not limited to private, residences, schools, businesses, and events.
2. Client Responsibilities
- The client must ensure that the property to be inspected is safe and free from hazards that may harm the canines or handlers.
- The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions or authorizations for Keeper Detection to conduct its services on the premises.
- The client must disclose any known dangers, such as aggressive animals or unsafe areas, before the inspection begins.
- The client agrees to provide details of substances located during the use of teams from Keeper Detection for record keeping and training purposes.
- The client or clients designee must accompany the canine team during the screening.
3. Service Limitations
- Keeper Detection provides narcotics detection services solely to locate the presence of the odors of Fentanyl, Cannabis, Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and MDMA. It does not provide legal advice or enforce laws.
- Detection results are not admissible in court without the presence of law enforcement or other legal procedures. Odors may be there without the substance being present.
- While Keeper Detection employs professionally trained canines, no guarantee is made regarding the detection or absence of narcotics. Keeper Detection can not “hand search” areas where a canine team has indicated the presence of a trained odor.
- Keeper Detection will not take custody of any substances located by a canine team. Disposal of any substances is the sole responsibility of the client.
4. Confidentiality
- All findings will be treated confidentially unless disclosure is required by law or agreed upon by the client.
- Keeper Detection does not report findings to law enforcement unless required by a legal mandate.
5. Fees and Payment
- Fees for services will be agreed upon prior to service delivery. Full payment is required within 30 days of service completion unless otherwise specified.
- Late payments may incur additional charges.
6. Liability
- Keeper Detection is not responsible for any damages caused during the search unless due to gross negligence or intentional misconduct by its employees.
- The client agrees to indemnify and hold Keeper Detection, its employees, and agents harmless against any claims or damages arising out of the services provided.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Clients may cancel or reschedule services with at least 48 hours advance notice. Failure to provide timely notice may result in a cancellation fee.
- Keeper Detection reserves the right to reschedule or cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to safety concerns or inclement weather.
8. Termination of Services
- Keeper Detection reserves the right to terminate services at any time if unsafe conditions are encountered or if the client violates these terms and conditions.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of theState of California. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts ofSan Diego County.
10. Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By engaging Keeper Detection's services, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
